Smugglers throw refugees into the sea

Last week two refugees were picked up in the sea by a ferry from Kos to Athens. Apparently a smuggler had thrown them into the sea. Fortunately, the two were found and saved. The next morning, flying help was immediately on the spot to provide the refugees with clothes and shoes.

Refugees support disadvantaged families

During the lockdown, we expanded our service to include disadvantaged families. A team of refugees in Athens had made us aware of this and directed the action. Although they struggle with difficult situations, they stand up for others in need. A strong example of solidarity.

On-site support: Thanks to our volunteers

Kathi went back home in mid-June. It was her second mission on Kos. She had been on the island since February and did a great job. Matthias has now done his fourth assignment for flying help. At the beginning of June he flew to Kos and drove our van safely back to Germany. During his short stay on the island, he was able to manage everything that was needed together with the local team.
