Two strong women

Matou from Cameroon and A. from Ghana.

Matou - one of our volunteers, who is now a recognized refugee from Cameroon, works hard to bring winter clothes to the children in the closed Camp Prokeka. Every time she comes into the warehouse, she takes the mop and cleans until everything is shiny.

A. from Ghana is also a recognized refugee. We supported her for the first three months when she had to leave the camp, eight months pregnant and without money. She lives now in Athens, where she had to get her ID and other documents. It was great to see her again, so strong and happy. We had so many special moments with her. Like when we took her to the hospital at midnight because her baby was about to give birth. Jaana was also the first to hold the baby shortly after it was born. She was even allowed to choose the name for the little one.

A positive example of perseverance and the right attitude!
